HORRIBLE DELL BUG in Windows 10 V1903 and V1909!!!! BAD POOL CALLER blue screen of death!
If you are getting blue screens with the BAD POOL CALLER error – Guess what?
Its the DELL SUPPORT ASSISTANT. I kid you not. Spent hours beating on a system till I discovered that.
Often this is a driver issue – and I used the Support Assistant to – update drivers! And then crashes happen!!
Just uninstall it – in safe mode if necessary. Or bring it to us. What a bug!!
OVERHEATING ON FOUR PORT THUNDERBOLTS!
If you have a 4 port macbook pro that is overheating you may notice you are plugging the usb c charger power cord into the LEFT SIDE ports!
Try charging on the RIGHT SIDE PORTS – and you may find the overheating disappears!
DONT USE FILEFAULT – REALLY!
Just got a customer’s Mac Air sorted – it could not boot properly would ‘stick’ at right end of the bar and never reach the desktop!
She had FileVault turned on – and when the FV volume gets corrupted, you can have EXACTLY this behavior!
I had to WIPE the drive completely and reinstall from Online – to get it back usable. Sure hope all was backed up!
TOUCHBAR 2016 and 2017 DATA RECOVERY!
If you have a DEAD 2016 or 2017 touchbar, with the SSD not removable – we have a VERY good chance of either repairing
the board – OR – getting the data off the drive even if the board is not repairable!
