I’ve been watching blogs and such like for years and never really seen the need to participate – but slowly I’ve been changing my opinion and we will be getting into Facbook – and here is my first Blog entry!
Blogs are rather interesting – because they have really been around for a LONG time. The fellow with the best claim to a blog is surely Jerry Pournelle – his articles (Chaos Manor in Byte Magazine) were indeed the prototype for a blog. each month you got to read of his Adventures in Computing – all the big names would send him their newest offerings in the hope of a comment – and the trials and tribulations were most entertaining to read!

I’ve even met him several times, and his thoughts are usually MOST worthwhile reading unlike much of the drivel that you see passing for blogging these days.
